SPENDING REFORM: EFFICIENT & EFFECTIVE

Our Priority:

Prioritize spending to fund vital services like education & public safety, and deliver services efficiently with desired outcomes.

Our Results:

Previously, state spending grew at annual rates as high as 10%, yet many priority services lacked funding or oversight to succeed. Today, spending growth is less than 3%, while services like the State Highway Patrol, K-12 education, and state hospitals have all received greater funding stability and oversight. We have also conducted an efficiency study, identifying a potential $2 billion in savings over the next five years.
